Notes And Thoughts From Third Session Of 181st Annual General Conference

Dieter F. Uchtdorf: Most answers to prayers don't come in miraculous ways. When seeking guidance, we need to study/Do everything we can, then pray. Answers to prayers can come through friends and family, through scriptures, etc. Think of how others will be affected when making a decision. Favorite quote, "By becoming the answer to someone's prayer, we often find the answer to our own."

Paul Johnson: All of us face difficult challenges. All the trials we endure give us experience that we need. "After much tribulation come the blessings."

H. David Burton: The welfare program of the church was started on April 6, 1936. Self reliance - Helping people help themselves. Distinguish between needs and wants.

Silvia H. Allred: Love one another and serve one another. Reach out to those less fortunate.

David A. Bednar: Compared the way we receive revelation to two experiences in which we receive light. Sometimes we receive revelation immediately just as flipping a switch and getting light from a bulb. The other way we receive revelation is slow, like a sun rise. Again, In order to receive revelation we must prepare!

Thomas Monson: Temple work is so important. Make whatever sacrifice is necessary to attend. Remember the primary song, "I love to see the temple?" Temples are so close! -No excuses.
