PROVO — In the 10 days since the public open house of the Provo City Center Temple began Jan. 15, more than 180,000 people have walked through the new temple.A new standby line has also been implemented for people who are in the area and may want to drop in, even without a reservation. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is welcoming the public inside the temple for the next few weeks. It was built within the exterior shell of what was the Provo Tabernacle before it was destroyed in a devastating fire Dec. 17, 2010.The church's online reservations for the open house quickly filled up in early January, however, the church is continuing to open up more reservation times, and now with a standby line, guests without a reservation can wait — generally for just a few minutes. People can check a website in advance for approximate wait times. On average, 18,000 people a day have walked through the new temple, which features pioneer-era decor and designs to reflect the heritage of the Tabernacle. While interest has been high in the new temple, church officials are trying to accommodate everyone who wants to be part of the open house, which continues through March 5, except on Sundays.

The new temple will be dedicated Sunday, March 20.

LouAnn's Birthday

Yesterday was Aaron's sister (LouAnn's) birthday.  We took LouAnn to Thai Village for dinner.  While we were eating, all of the husbands, cousins, nieces, nephews, etc. met at our house.  We had a little surprise party for her.  It was a nice evening.  Here are some pictures I took with my phone.

Abby and Bree had basketball games today.  I was excited to go (I didn't have to work last night).  It was fun watching my little ladies.

Adrienne's Baby Shower

My sister in law had a baby shower earlier  this evening.  This baby boy will be Ryan and Adrienne's fourth child!  Adrienne received a lot of nice gifts.  I can't wait to meet the little man.

Lots of Space

Alyssa lost her top front tooth last night.  Her other top front tooth is loose.  The Tooth Fairy brought her a bag of Mambas.  Alyssa was excited.

Abby's Root Canal And Cap

So...I can't remember if I mentioned this in a previous post, but Abby's apexogenesis din't work like we hoped it would.  :(
Abby had to have a root canal.  She had a couple of cavities on the same tooth that were filled.  We thought we were good, but over the weekend, Abby felt something break.  We were hoping one of the fillings came out, but it turns out, part of the tooth broke.  Abby had a silver crown put on.  Hopefully, we're good now.

Abby and Alyssa's Sweet Fresh Cookie Place

My girls LOVE watching the Food Network.  I can't tell you how many times they've made their own cupcakes, brownies and cookies.  :)  The other night after dinner, the girls treated us as though we were at a restaurant.
 They had their own menu
Plates
Abby gave each of us $20 in pretend money
Alyssa was happy to collect the money
