Cornbelly's

Brody went on a field trip to Cornbelly's a couple of weeks ago. I couldn't make it to the trip, so his teacher took these pictures for me.

Toothpaste ...An Amazing Product

Until today, I never realized how useful toothpaste was. Not only can you brush your teeth with it, you can ... Put in your hair to turn it blue for Halloween.
Put it on your clothes to give you that tie-dye or splashed paint look
Rub it all over your body like lotion so you can smell like mint

Spice up that dull colored furniture

-Or spice up that dull carpet.
The possibilities are endless.

Teach Them Early

Chocolate can solve all of your problems....Really!

A Spooktacular Time!

Today, I went to the costume parade at Pony Express Elementary. It was so fun to see all of the kids and teachers in their costumes. My oldest son Andrew was a gate keeper. I had to work this morning, so Aaron did his make-up all by himself. Didn't he do a great job?

Getting So Big!

Alyssa is getting so big! She loves rolling over and kicking her legs. She has so much energy that I decided to get out her walker. I'm so glad I did, because she loves it. She scoots backwards all over the house and talks to everyone that goes by. I think she thinks she's as big as everyone else.

Strike A Pose!

Brody and Abby's Birthday Party!

Last Sunday, my parents gave Brody and Abby a combined birthday party. Before the party, we gave Brody a few gifts. I took the pictures below, and then the battery died! Brody and Abby received a lot of nice gifts. -I just wanted to thank everyone for all of their kindness.

Baby Shower!

Earlier today, Me, my Mom, Ashley, and Adrienne gave Svetlana a baby shower. Svetlana and my little brother Shane are expecting their first baby (A girl) in November! Svetlana and Shane are going to name their little girl Sasha. Doesn't Svetlana look adorable?
We had a lot of yummy treats at the shower. Ashley's creamy potato soup was a hit.

My good friend Natalie came to the shower. She's expecting her 5th in January. Isn't she adorable too!

Birthday Fun

October is a busy birthday month at our house. Aaron's birthday is on the 5th, Brody's is on the 24th, and Abby's is the 31st (Halloween). Brody is the first one to have a birthday in his autism kindergarten class, so today we took some balloons and cupcakes to celebrate.
When we arrived at the school, Abby wanted to hold the balloons. She felt really special giving them to her brother.

All of the kids loved the balloons. Brody had a huge grin on his face when we walked in the room.

What a cutie!

About 5 minutes after we got to his classroom, the balloons escaped to the sky light, out of our reach. A couple of the kids were upset, but I'm sure the balloons will come down in a couple of days.

Getting ready for cupcakes!

Everyone cleaned their hands

Waiting patiently!

Can you say "Cheese!"

Alyssa was so good. She sat in her car seat and didn't make a peep the whole time we were there!

Brody's cupcakes were very spooky! They had witch's fingers on the top of them. Brody picked off the finger and ate all of the frosting. After that, he helped himself to another (The frosting that is). He's entitled to right? ...It is his birthday.

Abby didn't like that the fingers had warts on them, or that they were green. When she saw that the other kids were playing with them, she warmed up to them.

Yummy frosting

Lick those lips!

This is Brody's teacher (Lacey Anderson). She does such a great job. She's very patient and loves all of the kids.

We're Feeding Our Babies Mom!

As I was wasting time on the computer (playing on facebook, reading the news on KSL, checking the obituaries, etc), my daughter Abby and her cousin Jessie yelled from the other room, "We're feeding our babies Mom." What do you mean your feeding your babies? I replied. -Hoping that they weren't making a mess trying to give real bottles to their baby dolls. Or better yet, trying to feed Alyssa a real bottle. Abby and Jessie came running into my room and this was what I saw.
I couldn't stop laughing. I guess3-4 year olds are a lot more observant then I realized. My next question to them was, Why are your shirts wet? Their reply was, "We gave our babies baths before they ate."

Alyssa's First Giggle

Alyssa giggled for the first time yesterday! ...And I missed it. Aaron was with her in the front room and I was in our bedroom. Right after if happend, Aaron called to me and told me to watch her. We tried to get her to laugh again, but she wouldn't. Later at church, I let my neighbor hold Alyssa. She started talking to her and blowing in her face, and then I heard it. Her little giggle was so cute. It was deep, right from her belly. I wish I could let all of you hear it.

A Walk In The Park

Since the weather was so nice yesterday evening, we decided to go for a walk.

I took this picture of Allysa, not realizing that her nose was running until after I took the picture. Runny nose or not. Isn't she adorable?

Bree had a great time playing in the wood chips. -Such a happy little girl.

Abby made a friend as soon as we arrived at the playground. She's so social.

Brody had fun climbing on all of the playground equipment. He's got a BIG imagination.

Andrew had fun chasing Abby and her new little friend.

Caramel Apples!

I've been trying to think of things that I can do to get in the "Fall" mood. After reading my sisters blog, I decided to make caramel apples. They were quite the hit at my house. My kids loved them.
