I'm All Plugged Up

I went to a ENT doctor today.  My right ear has been plugged now for almost two weeks.  I've been to urgent care twice.  The first visit I was prescribed omnicef and the second visit I was given a rocephin shot.  Today I had a tube placed in my ear.  I was really hoping the tube would make everything go back to normal.  Unfortunately, my ear is still plugged.  I have a f/u appointment next Thursday.  Hopefully I'll have some good news to report then.

Brody's Birthday/Megan's Farewell

We had a wonderful weekend.  Yesterday around noon, we left for Idaho.  It was Brody's birthday.  We wanted to take him to a hotel since that is his favorite thing.  Conveniently, my niece Megan had her farewell today.  We killed two birds with one stone!  We stayed at the Marriott in Rexberg.  Brody and the rest of the kids were in heaven!  We went swimming and this morning our kids enjoyed their continental breakfast.

Frightmares

Aaron took Abby, Kaitlin, and Andrew to Frightmares yesterday.  It's a little early, but that is what Abby requested for her birthday.  They had a wonderful time even though it was rainy and crowded.  We kind of expected it to be busy since it is fall break.  Here are some pictures Aaron took with his phone.

Spaghetti Squash

This year we're enjoying the fruits (Or vegetables) of Aaron's labor.  Spaghetti squash is one of my favorites.  We have quite the abundance.  I love this time of year.

Lunch At Moochies

Aaron's brother Sam, his wife Gayla, and their daughter Megan were in town Friday.  We rarely get to see them, so we (I, Aaron's siblings, and Aaron's parents), decided to get some lunch.  Several of us had never been to Moochies, so we gave it a try.  I have to say it was pretty good.  I'm not a big sandwich person, but it was rather scrumptious.

Funny story:  Grandma Walker was really hungry or maybe thirsty?  -She grabbed the fry sauce and squirted some in her mouth.  Here is Jared's impersonation.

Getting My Money's Worth

I got a flat tire on my way to case conference yesterday.  Right on I-15 near Brody's school exit.  I'm sure thankful for Triple AAA.  I think yesterday was the 3rd or 4th time I've used their services this year, (Some people have all the luck, right?).  Triple AAA towed my car over to Les Schwab in Orem.  $250+ dollars later, I had two new tires.

Bree's Got The Broken Bone Blues

My poor little Breezy broke her left wrist last Thursday.  She was running at recess with some of her friends, and she tripped and fell.
It was pretty red and swollen.  The nurse at the office told me she looked as white as a ghost.
I made a couple of phone calls to our insurance company and Dr. Mumford's office.  Then we headed over to Timpanogos Hospital for X-rays.

They were pretty secretive over there.  I guess only the doctor can tell you if it's broken.   One of the technicians gave it away though when she asked Bree what she wanted to be for Halloween.  Bree told her a "Creeper from Mind Craft."  The technician replied, "A creeper with a cast."
Dr.  Mumford put on a temporary splint.  You have to wait at least 48 hours for the swelling to go down before you can put on a cast.
She got her cast on today.  -Boy, is she ever excited to have her friends sign it.

Beautiful Sunday

We went to Emily Jacobson's homecoming earlier today.  I'm so proud of my niece!  She's such a good example.
After the homecoming, we went for a ride through the Nebo Loop.  It was beautiful up there.   Not very many pink leaves this year, but still gorgeous.

Vineyard Gardens

Bryson went on a field trip with his preschool yesterday.  I wasn't able to go with him, but I heard that they had a wonderful time.  Another mom took some pics for me.  Here they are in no particular order.
