Just The Boys

My oldest son Andrew is turning 8 on Thursday. Aaron and I wanted to give him an early birthday present, so yesterday after I'd gone to work, my husband sent Andrew on a treasure hunt. Aaron told Andrew to search the entire basement. While he was downstairs, Aaron pulled out tickets to the Jazz/Knicks game plus a D. Williams jersey/shorts. When Andrew came upstairs, he was really disappointed because he hadn't found anything. Aaron redirected him the living room where he'd layed out his gifts. Andrew was ecstatic! He begged Aaron to let him wear the jersey and shorts to school. Because it was so cold yesterday, Aaron let him wear the the jersey with another shirt, but he had to decline on the shorts.
Andrew and Aaron went to the game last night, and had a great time. Andrew thinks he needs more "Boys' Nights." -I'm glad that he got to spend some time with his dad.
Love you Andrew

How do you respond to that?

This morning at work (The Developmental Center), I was approached by an individual. We'll call him Fred for HIPPA sake. Fred asks me "Kelly, are you still pregnant?" "Yes," I replied. Fred then asked me if I knew what the sex was. "I'm having a girl," I stated. Out of no where, Fred asks "Would you be upset if there was a dog in your stomach?" ...A dog in my stomach? Where in the world did that question come from??? "I don't think that would happen Fred!" "Yah, I guess not. -But if it did you'd be on the news." "Yes, I guess I would." (Smile)

New Dress Ups

The other night, my sister-in-law Teresa gave us a bag full of dress up clothes. My little girls were in heaven. They tried on every last piece of clothing, and were entertained the entire evening. Abby my little cheerleader/tinkerbell/prom queen ???
Bree really likes this skirt. I'm not sure what costume it goes to?

Brody and Dad didn't participate in dressing up. Don't they look cute though?

My Lucky Day

Ten years ago today, Aaron proposed to me. I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. I'm so grateful for him and for our wonderful children. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life and eternity with him.

I LOVE YOU AARON.

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone.

Where Did Spring Go?

Any of you who know me know that I am not fond of snow. My kids on the other hand love it. Today when we had our BIG storm, my kids decided to make good use of the snow. My son Andrew made a really cute snowman. Andrew wants everyone to know what the snowman is made of. He has tumble weed arms, a Cubs baseball cap, a tootsie roll mouth, and a carrot for a nose.
Bree likes to eat snow (We tried to avoid the yellow kind)

Abby had fun making snow angels

My proud son

Aaron worked hard shoveling snow

Our dog Snickers had fun in the snow too

Breelyn's New Skills

Last Friday, Aaron and I were just relaxing/watching tv when all of the sudden Bree came charging into our room. Aaron looked at her and asked me, "What's all over her face?" I looked at her. There was something brown all over her face and down the front of her shirt. My first thought was that she'd been finger painting. Not with paint, but well ...you can imagine what. Aaron quickly picked her up and I started to peel off her clothes. Bree had found my acrylic paints that I store in the basement! Aaron helped Bree get into the tub, and I ran downstairs and assessed the damage. -Luckily, Bree had only opened one bottle of paint. There was a little bit of paint on the floor and a little paint on Brody's clothes. We cleaned up the mess and helped Brody and Bree get into their pajamas. I put some boxes around my paint to prevent Bree from future exploration.
About a half hour later, (Just after Aaron and I started to relax again), we heard a scream from the basement. I ran over to the stairs and found Abby (My little mother) helping Bree. Bree had gotten into my paints AGAIN. This time, she was covered with purple paint. I wanted to cry. My husband just started laughing and my oldest son Andrew kept saying, "Mom, we should send a video of Bree into America's Funniest Home Videos."
Bree the 2nd time we had to put her in the tub!

Blessings

Last Thursday I received a phone call from my insurance company, MedCorp. Medcorp reconsidered and approved my IVIG treatments! I received my first treatment yesterday. A nurse (Kathy) came to my home at 9:45 am and was there til 4:00 pm. -It was a long day for both of us, but I'm so thankful. I didn't feel any side effects. -Hopefully, my little girl's platelets will increase. Thank you everyone for all of your prayers!
