Dominican Republic, Amber Cove

We had our first stop today @ the Dominican Republic.   Oh my goodness!  It's so beautiful here.  Everything is so green and lush.  It looks like a scene out of Jurassic Park!
Before we could get off of the boat, we had a quick orientation for the Outback Terracross ATV tour.

Happy to be with this guy in paradise

We had wifi, so we sent a couple pics home to the kids

Our atvs were in the middle of Puerta Plata, so we got to see some of the town. -So different then anywhere I've been.  Everyone drives scooters.  We were told the gas is pricey.  It costs much less to fill up a scooter then a car.  Also, you don't  have to have a driver's license.  There were lots of people zooming in between us and parked cars.  I was so worried someone would get hit.

What an awesome excursion!

  • 3-hour ATV adventure from Puerto Plata
  • Drive through the Dominican countryside
  • Stop at a local home for fresh coconut water and baby coconut
  • Swim in the ocean to cool off
  • Fried chicken and plantains with your choice of soda
Let the fun begin!

We were so dirty!

Where are all the dinosaurs?

Our beach!

We were starving when we got back.

Their chicken and plantains were so yummy!

Aaron's favorite statue!  Not enough room in our suitcase.  🙉🙊🙈

We walked around Amber Cove.  I didn't bring a change of clothes with me.  Yes, I look homeless.  Ha ha

Check out the view!

We were hoping Andrew would call.  Unfortunately,  we never got to talk to him.

It felt great getting back on the ship and taking a shower.  The arcade was half off for 1 hour, so we had to check it out.

More pictures

Almost forgot to post our cute little towel animal.  I think it's a ram?

Formal night for dinner!  Everyone looked amazing.

Lobster for dinner!

Of course we took more pictures.  It kind of feels like we're at a highschool dance!
