A No Go 😔

Alyssa has a dance competition @ Desert Hills Highschool in St. George tomorrow.   I booked a condo @ the Sports Village a couple of months ago for two nights, (Tonight and Saturday).  Our family has really been looking forward to this little getaway.
We left for St. George around 2:00 pm.  In the mountains just outside of Fillmore, it began snowing.   A lot!  Aaron slowed down and kept a distance from the other cars.  As we were coming down a hill toward Cove Fort, cars began sliding everywhere.   A guy pulling a trailer almost hit us.  He ended up going down into the median.  We all came to a stop and we didn't move for over an hour.
Thankfully,  we had some internet.  We found out that the freeway was closed in both directions about 30 miles South in Beaver.  We started to panic because it was evident that the roads wouldn't be cleared for a long time.  The storm was getting worse.  It would be dark soon. The temperature was dropping which meant the roads would get slicker. What if we ran out of gas?  None of us had packed winter clothes. Then all of the sudden, 2 alarms on our dashboard went off.  Our airbag and tire pressure.  One tire was 27!
We said a prayer.  Aaron and I felt strongly that we needed to turn around and go back home.  Thankfully, we were by a turn around point.  We took it and crawled our way back out of the mountains.  We pulled into AF @ 8:30 pm.
We may wake up in the morning and give it another go, but the weather isn't looking good.
