LaRay Kenneth Hill

LaRay Kenneth Hill age 70 of Spanish Fork,

Utah, returned home to the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on Sunday, September 27, 2020.

He was born to Kenneth Jasper Hill and Irene Braithwaite on February 3, 1950 in Payson, Utah.  He was the youngest of four children.  He grew up in Leland down by the old sugar factory and graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1968.  He then went on to attend Utah State University and Utah Valley Trade Tech.

He was a business entrepreneur, licensed plumber/pipefitter, journeyman ironworker, and loved building custom homes, and working with his hands.  He was the owner of the Ideal Motel and Café in Spanish Fork during the eighties, along with other businesses throughout the years.

He married Eva Abbott in October of 1969 and they were blessed with five beautiful daughters together and divorced many years later. He was fortunate to find love many times in his life to some wonderful women. He married Marlene Bohman and they later divorced.  After some time, he then married Jayleen Pace and they also divorced.

LaRay’s greatest love and passion was his horses and riding them.  He enjoyed being in the mountains, hunting, camping, and fishing.  He loved country music, watching old westerns, and detailing cars.  He liked vacationing in Lake Powell and spending time with his family.

LaRay is survived by his daughters, Natalee Hansen of Spanish Fork, Shannon Howell of Lehi, Charity (Nathan) Tingey of Fillmore, Tiffany Hill of Orem, and Lindsey (Spencer) Boone of Newton, Grandchildren and great grandchildren, sister Maureen Trotter of Cedar Fort, and brother in law Kenneth Frost of American Fork.  As well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

LaRay was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Kathleen Hammond of Mount Pleasant, and Carolyn Frost of American Fork.
