From Dalles to Seaside

Today was so much fun!  After we got ready and packed up our suburban, we had some breakfast.
We drove on several bridges.
I am amazed at how green everything is.   It's so beautiful here.

It was a really rainy day, but we stopped at several places.  One of the paces we visited was Multnomah Falls.
The building behind us was a restaurant and gift shop.

We had planned on hiking to the top of the waterfall, but the trail was closed due to a fire.

We drove through Portland.  We were going to go to Vudu Doughnuts, but the line was super long.

                              Another bridge

We stopped in Astoria.  The cream colored house above Brody's right shoulder is the one from the movie Goonies!
We visited the Column.  While we were inside we ran into our neighbors from Eagle Mountain ( Michelle and Sean Larson).  It's such a small world.

We were high up there, and it was windy and rainy.  Brody, Alyssa and Bryson didn't like it.

We saw a deer on the drive down.
We ate lunch at a restaurant called Mo's

                    Their food was delicious!

                Aaron ordered us some clams

I ordered some cod with mashed potatoes and some clam chowder.

We stopped at Peter Iredale's Boat Ruins

We checked into our hotel (Shilo Inn) in Seaside.  Then we explored the city.   We all had a wafflecone.  Aaron bought a big bag of salt water taffy.

We went swimming when we got back to the hotel.  Our kids got to use their new Easter swim suits from Grandma and Grandpa Nelson.
Pizza Hut delivery for dinner.
