White Bass

 Last Saturday, Aaron went fishing with his dad at Utah Lake.  Utah Lake I know sounds really gross.  We thought there was only garbage fish in the lake (Nothing worth eating).  Not true!  You can catch white bass in Utah Lake and it's delicious! 

 The white bass are really pretty.  They look like a shiny silvery fish.

 They have scales and are really bony.  Check out his dorsal fin (Not sure if I said that right?).  Tons of long spiky bones.  Another cool thing about the fish was that when Aaron cleaned the fish, they had been dead for about an hour.  Abby watched him do it and she screamed, "Look it's heart is still beating!"  Sure enough, each of the fish's hearts were still beating, and did so for several minutes.  Weird. 

An Egg!

We can't believe it.  One of our chickens layed an egg!  Who wants an omlet?

Perty Teeth

 The Walker children made it to the dentist yesterday.  5 of the 6 saw the dentist, (Bryson being the loner since he has no teeth). It was rather tricky event, but everyone made it through and mom is glad. 

 Brody didn't like the noise at all!

He allowed them to clean his teeth, but no way was he going to let the dentist check for cavities or put on the fluoride.  :)

 He enjoyed playing video games.

 Abby, bless her heart.  She has 3 cavities!  She's due back next month to get those filled.  :(

 Bree and Alyssa had 0 cavities!

They had a good time watching Rapunzel.

 Andrew didn't have any cavities.

The dentist recommended that we have him seen by an orthodontist.  Andrew has a lot of teeth crowding.  He also has all 4 wisdom teeth.

We had some disturbing news as well.  Here is a panoramic of Andrew's teeth.  They're sending it to a jaw surgeon.  There is a "Suspicious" area on his bottom jaw underneath the 4 middle teeth.  They aren't sure what the white blotches are?  I asked them what "Suspicious" means.  They said it could be infection,  cancer, a poor picture, etc.  I should hear back within the week.  I'll keep you posted.

4 Months Old!

 4 months old as of yesterday.  -And already wearing 6-9 month old clothes [Sniff sniff]!

Summer Treats

 I love summer.  I love being able to grow my own fruits and veggies.  Tonight for dinner we had beans, corn, and spinach.  All of it was so yummy.  And the fact that we and our neighbors grew all of it, made it that much better.  :)

 This summer, we've been enjoying tomatoes, squash, zucchini, cucumbers, apples, pears, apricots, and peaches.  We've been busy today canning peaches.  -Lots of work, but such a treat. 

 Our chickens still aren't laying eggs.  We don't think it will be too much longer.

 Anyone want chicken for dinner?  We're pretty certain this guy is a rooster.  :(  Unfortunately the city won't allow us to keep him.

Pop-Its

Last night Aaron and Andrew went camping with the scouts.  Us girls (Plus Brody and Bryson) decided to have a little fun.  The girls found a couple boxes of Pop-Its left over from the 4th.  I let them pop them. 

 Bryson is continually growing.  I can't believe he'll be 4 months this week.  He's such a joy.  -All of my kids are.  I love them so much!
