Elaine was born on February 6th, 1927 and passed away on
April 11th, 2025 at the age of 98Elaine Lambourne Boyer was born, 6 Feb 1927 in Murray, Salt Lake Co, Utah, and died at the age of 98 on 11 April 2025 in her American Fork, Utah, home. She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Richard Smith Boyer, father Owen Clifton Lambourne, mother Mary Brockbank, and four siblings; Grant Brockbank Lambourne, Wayne Edward Lambourne, La Verne Lambourne Jenkins, and Gerald Brockbank Lambourne
She was married to Richard Smith Boyer on 19 April 1946 in Holladay, Utah and sealed 25 June 1947 in the Salt Lake City Temple.
Elaine and Richard Boyer had five children all living at the time of her death: Robert Owen Boyer (married Janice Kay Henrie), Richard Smith Boyer (Jr) (married Charlotte Elaine Cutler), Susan Elaine Boyer (married Darryl Rex Sohm), Kathryn Marie Boyer (married John Jacob Allen) and David Raymond Boyer (married Rachelle Oldham).
Elaine and Richard Boyer has 30 grandchildren, 89 great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren.
She loved playing softball as a child, she attended Granite High School and a semester at the University of Utah, where she met a Naval Student, Richard Boyer in her Speech class, it didn't take long before they fell in love.
After marriage, Elaine and Dr. Richard Boyer resided in Keosauqua, Iowa for 24 years (1953 to 1977). Elaine helped run their Veterinarian business as an operator, receptionist, bookkeeper, and salesperson, while raising 5 children at the same time.
In Keosauqua, Elaine was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints., she was the chorister for Sacrament meeting, Relief Society President, Primary President, and taught many lessons all at the same time because the Keosauqua Branch was so small.
In the community, she was a member of the local bowling team and was a consistent bowler, scoring many games over 200. She belonged to the bridge club consisting of 15 local town business wives. She was active in the community and was Band Booster and PTA President.
In 1977, Elaine and Richard sold their practice and moved to American Fork, Utah. She was Relief Society President soon after moving to the Hillcrest Ward.
Elaine loved people, endearing many Ward members, neighbors, family and friends to her. She had a way of making everyone feel important and special. She lived out the last 47 years of her life in the same home.
She is finally in her heavenly home with the love of her life; Richard after 9 years of earthly separation.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday April 14, 2025 at 12:00 noon at the Hillcrest 1st Ward (949 North 540 West, American Fork, UT 84003). Friends may call Monday morning from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at the church. Interment will be in the American Fork cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
