We had an amazing weekend up in Idaho. We spent a couple of days with the Mcwhorter family. On Saturday, we went to Lava Hot Springs.
We went tubing down the Portneuf River.
And relaxed in the natural hot springs.
We stayed @ the TownePlace Suites in Pocatello, Idaho.
On Sunday, we went to Soda Springs. We stopped @ Geyser Park. The geyser erupts every hour on the hour. Pretty cool!
We drove to Hooper Spring. This spring produces cold carbonated water! I brought some drink mixes and we filled our bellies!
Then we explored the rest of the park.
Our last stop with the Mcwhorters was Formation Springs.
There is a cool cave that you can climb down into. One of the caverns goes back about 30 feet!
A short distance from the cave you come to this! So beautiful. I so wanted to swim, but didn't have a swimsuit.
After the Mcwhorters left, we went and did some more exploring...
We went to Niter Ice Cave in Grace, Idaho.
So many bird's nests @ the entrance!
There is a large river just outside of Grace. We saw two people swing from a bridge. Maybe next time!
Sunday evening we planned to swim @ our hotel, but because of Covid-19, it didn't happen. It's okay. We watched movies and played on our phones.
On Monday we packed our bags and checked out of our hotel. Aaron drove South East past Downetta, (A water park he went to when he was a child.
We drove to Preston, Mink Creek, Liberty, Ovid, Paris, Bloomington, etc. All the way to Bear Lake. My new favorite way to drive home.
We stopped @ LaBeau's and Zips.
Several places were closing after Labor Day.
