Bryson had a party up in the master bathroom Tuesday afternoon. I didn't think he was capable, but he went into the bathroom, turned on the tub faucet and flooded the bathroom. The water leaked into the vent on the floor. It went down to the basement in the bathroom and the girl's room. It destroyed the furnace. The ac fan couldn't turn because the box filled with water. -We could smell smoke. :( It was quite stressful.
We contacted Disaster Relief. They brought in some special equipment (Pumps and fans) to dry up the water. A home owners insurance claim was filed. We're going to replace the floor in the master bath, the furnace, some dry wall in the basement, and most likely the girl's bedroom carpet. -Sheesh. Hopefully, insurance will pay for most of it.
I'm thankful that my little guy didn't decide to jump in the tub. That could of been scary. -All of the other stuff is replaceable. Here are some pictures I took.
Scooping toilet paper out of the tub so that it can drain and laying towels down to soak up the water
Cleaning up all of the spilled Comet and toilet paper balls.
Wet rugs and paper balls
This plant doesn't have a chance

Some of the wet towels and wet carpet

Ain't it grand being a homeowner? Hahaha! I just hope the damaged floors have already been replaced. It would be a lot more stressful to leave them damaged for quite sometime. In any case, I hope Bryson learned his lesson about playing with water, so that type of issue can be avoided. Thanks for sharing that! All the best to you and your family! :)
