My friend Natalie passed away last Saturday. I worked with her at Fred Meyer during highschool. She had such a sweet spirit! I went to her viewing last night. It was nice to meet her siblings. Here is her obituary.
Natalie Strong
April 11, 1968 January 4, 2014
Natalie Strong passed away unexpectedly January 4, 2014, in Provo after suffering a massive stroke. She was born on April 11, 1968, the last of 11 children born to Ronald Davis and Lorraine Whitby Strong. She lived her entire life in Alpine, UT, attending Alpine Elementary, American Fork Jr. High, and graduating from American Fork High School.
Natalie spent 13 years working at the cafeteria in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple, where she made many friends and brightened the lives of all she served. Her smile will be sorely missed. She also cared for her aging parents with love, kindness, and humor, making it possible for them to spend their final years comfortably at home.
An avid record keeper, Natalie dearly loved her family and knew the names and birthdays of each one. She treasured her nieces and nephews and considered them "her" kids.
Natalie is survived by her siblings: Merlynne (Willard) Heaps, Alpine; Wayne (Colleen) Strong, Mesa AZ; Brenda (Kent) Davis, Orem; Yvonne (Richard) Holdaway, Payson; Gordon (Deborah) Strong, Taylorsville; Kendell (Jane) Strong, Elko, NV; Dean (Lorinda) Strong, Ojai, CA; Glen Strong, Munster, IN; Deanna (Devin) Johnson, West Point; 57 nieces and nephews, and an ever-increasing number of great- and great-great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents and sister, Janene.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 11, at 11:00am in the Alpine Stake Center, 98 E. Canyon Crest Rd, Alpine. Friends may call Friday from 6-8pm at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 E. 100 N., American Fork, and Saturday from 9:45-10:45am at the church. Burial in the Alpine City Cemetery.
