Kent and LouJean's Grandkids

There is a wall in Kent and LouJean's basement where most of the grand kids have left their handprint.  This was done many years ago.  Most of the hands have grown much bigger.  :)
Aaron and I have done a lot of remodeling in the basement.  I don't want to hurt feelings, but we painted over the wall.  I took a picture of everyone's print.  I thought I would share them here on the blog.

My New Calling

I received a new calling last week.  Starting tomorrow, I get to be a primary teacher!  I get to teach the 5 year olds, and my daughter Alyssa is in my class!
I've been released a Relief Society teacher.  :(   Being a teacher was probably the most difficult calling that I've ever had because I am so SHY!   Honestly though, it was just what I needed.  I learned so much and it really helped me get to know the women in my ward.

I received this sweet letter from our president (Laurie Syme)

Lightning Diamonds

My little Abby had her first basketball practice today!  The practice went well.  Her coach is John Miller.  Abby knows a few of the girls on her team.  One of my good friends (Natalie Bird Johnson) has a daughter on the same team (Miley).  The girls came up with a team name at the end of practice - Lightning Diamonds.  :)  Abby wasn't too fond of the name, but it will grow on her.

He's In Love...

Aaron and I purchased a scooter for Andrew last month off of KSL.  Andrew has wanted one for a LOOOONG time, so we decided what better time then Christmas?  We couldn't afford a new one, so we bought a used one with the intention of fixing it up.  Well, so many days went by and we realized we weren't as smart as we hoped. :)  I made a phone call to one of my good friends from highschool (Mark Williamson).  Mark is a mechanic.  I asked him if there was any way he could help us out.  Mark went above and beyond.  The bike was in really bad shape.  Mark replaced almost everything.  He put in a lot of hours.  Yesterday we picked it up and brought it home to Andrew.  All I can say is ....He's in love!
 Thank you so much Mark!

2015

It's a new year.  I can't tell you how happy and scared that makes me.  Happy for all of the blessings I've received during 2014.  And happy for the opportunity I have to change things that I need to work on.
Scared for change. And scared about the welfare of my family and friends.  May all of my loved ones be blessed with happiness and health this year!
