Missing My Boy

My oldest went to California last Saturday.  He's spending the week with his cousin Shelby.  We're missing him terribly, but we know he's having a great time.  Aaron's sister is great to send pictures, plus I got a phone call from him yesterday.  Here are some pictures I received.

Scheels

I spent a great part of the day with Aaron's sisters yesterday.  While I was gone, Aaron took the kids to Scheels.  -He's such a good daddy.  :)  Here's a picture he sent to me on my phone.

Our 4th of July

I hope that everyone had a happy and safe 4th of July!  It was a nice holiday for us.  In the morning, we went to the Jacobson's and bid them farewell.  They're headed on a 2 week trip to Nauvoo!  -So excited for them.
During the day we completed a couple projects at home.  Aaron made poles for the beans and cleaned the garage.  Abby and I finished up a couple crafts.  Later in the evening we went over to Aaron's sisters home.  We had a nice dinner and then we did some fireworks.  The fireworks were beautiful.  The Anderson's home is right next to the lake, so you could see fireworks from Lehi  to Provo!

Taylor's Mission Homecoming

We had a really nice weekend.  On Friday Andrew and Abby went to Seven Peaks with their cousins (Andersons, Jacobsons, Prices, and Curtins).  Bree and Alyssa spent the day with friends.  Saturday we headed up North to Idaho for my nephew's mission homecoming.  We stayed in Idaho Falls at the Best Western Cottontree Inn.  Our kids wanted a place to swim and they got it!

Ashley and Taylor Walker
On Sunday we drove down to Basalt.  We had a good visit with Sam (Aaron's brother) and his family.  Sacrament meeting was at 12:30.  Taylor shared some stories from his mission.   At the close of his talk he shared his testimony in Spanish.  The spirit was very strong!  -Proud of my nephew.  :)
We had a yummy lunch following the meeting.  It was good to see the Fam.
We had a nice drive home.  We took a little detour through Mink Creek and Inkam.  -I always like to see where Aaron grew up.  We had some tired kids.
