"Grandpa Nelson"
When Aaron and I were dating, he told me many stories from his mission. Aaron served in the Bacolod, Philippines mission. My favorite story, is when he met Russel M Nelson, the prophet of our church, (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints). After the conference, Aaron sat down with him and had a long visit. Even though he wasn't our prophet at that time, Aaron admired him so much. When he shared this story with me, I may have fibbed a little. My maiden name is Nelson, so I may have told him Russel M Nelson was my grandpa! 🤥 ha ha. Don't worry. I didn't let the fib go very long. He definitely believe me though.
We found Aaron's journals recently. Inside one of them was this photo and the conference announcement. Pretty awesome.

So Much Better!
I stopped to visit Kent after I dropped Brody off at school. Kent is doing so much better! He's breathing better, the edema in his legs is gone, he's cracking jokes, (I always wanted to be a pee-anist), etc.
While I was there, I got to watch his echo
Good People
There are so many good people in the world! I stopped @ Habit Burger for lunch. Four missionaries were in line in front of me. I wanted to buy them lunch, but the 2 men in the photo beat me to it! Thank you to all those who take care of our missionaries! 🥰

Congestive ❤ Failure
Kent is in the hospital tonight. 😔 Ruthann and I took him to the ER @ 1 pm because he was having a difficult time breathing. We had him on 5L of O2 and his sats were still in the low 80's.
Several tests were done in the ER, ( BMP, PTT, Troponin level, Covid test, BNP, CBC, cell count, chest x-ray, and an EKG). The final diagnosos: congestive heart failure. We were told that this is very common after a heart attack. There is no cure, but they can treat the symptoms. Kent will be staying for a couple of nights. They are going to give him Lasix, (a water pill) around the clock. They gave him a catheter so he can sleep. Please keep him in your prayers.
He Still Loves Me! 💘
Aaron and I went to Flemmings for the first time last night! We gave each other a gift card for Christmas a couple years ago and for some reason, we just never used them.
The food was fantastic. A little pricey, but sometimes it's fun to splurge.
We got calamari for our appetizer.
I had ribeye
Aaron had filet mignon
For our sides, we chose onion rings
And macaroni and cheese
Aaron surprised me with a night @ The Anniversary Inn. We stayed in the Swiss Family Robinson room!
Late night treats
Our breakfast
Aaron is simply the best! He still loves me even though I am getting old. Ha ha
Thank you for the wonderful birthday. #halfwayto84

Red Sox VS White Sox
Bryson had his first baseball game of the season tonight. He had lots of cheerleaders there to support him, (Me, Kent, Brody, my parents, and even uncle Mark). Great job buddy.
Rough Morning
Kent had a rough morning. He fell out of bed trying to answer his phone. Aaron was at work and I was with Alyssa at the orthodontist office. Luckily Bree was there. She called me immediately after. I rushed home and helped him get up. He has a good skin tear on his R hand and a bump on his head. He says he feels OK. We'll watch him.

Yikes Stripes
Went to a new hair dresser on Saturday. I wanted some nice subtle highlights and came out with stripes. My hair has been a very emotional topic for two days. I wasn't sure what to do. I ended up calling my cousin Lindsey. She put some dark back into my hair and toned it down. I appreciate her so much.

Day Trip To Bryce Canyon
What an amazing day it has been! Aaron, Brody, and I woke up early this morning and drove to Bryce canyon. We would've loved to have the whole family with us; unfortunately, there were no takers. Bryce Canyon is gorgeous. If you've never been, make it part of your bucket list. You can thank me later! 😊 Our hike started at Sunset Point, down Navajo Loop Trail, around Peekaboo Loop Trail, up Queen's Garden Trail, up to Sunrise Point, and then back to Sunset Point. All together, I believe it's about 6 miles.
We drove to all of the other points and then we headed back home. I'm already feeling sore tonight. Life is good.
