Yesterday Abby went to a birthday party. Her friend Lily Jane turned 5! They got to touch real snakes, turtles, and lizards. They also got to paint their faces. (See below)
Since I'm kind of a nerd, and I love yard sales, thrift stores, ebay, Pickers, and anything that has to do with finding a great deal. I thought I'd post this article. Enjoy!
Breelyn committed her first crime today. This morning we made a stop at Walgreen's in American Fork. Before we went into the store, I told my girls, "We're only buying diapers. No toys or treats, just diapers. Breelyn wasn't happy about this. She through a little fit in the store, but we made it throught it. ...I thought. We were about 5 min. from home (In Eagle Mountain), when Abby informed me that Bree had a toy. "What" I asked... "What kind of toy?" "A toy for her ponies," Abby replied. I pulled the car over, turned around, and demanded that Bree show me the toy. Bree had stolen a Dora Birthday set. "Breelyn we don't take things that aren't ours, That's stealing!" I immediately turned the car around and headed back to Walgreens. I made Breelyn give back the toy back to an employee. She apoligized. (Poor girl could barely speak). She was sorry. -That or she was afraid she was going to jail, (Which I told her could happen). Hopefully, she's learned her lesson and won't do it again.
Yesterday we had an amazing ward conference. We talked about Elder Uchtdorf's talk, "Of Things That Matter Most" and Elder Hales talk, "Our Duty to God: The Mission of Parents and Leaders to the Rising Generation." Listening to these talks made me really evaluate my life. I've made a list of goals I want to work towards. The biggest goal on my list is spending QUALITY time with my family, and less time on the computer.
After church we worked on our Valentines... Andrew has 32 students in his class. Mrs. B asked the class to label their valentines like letters. Kind of a fun way to learn.
Abby made 6 valentines, Bree made 8.
Brody made 14 valentines
The girls scribbled and ripped a few of their Valentines. Alyssa wanted me to hold her and I was stressed to say the least. Aaron stepped in and helped me from loosing my sanity. :) Thank you Aaron.
Snickers wanted to come in and join the fun.
Here's a picture of Alyssa throwing a fit. Aren't I a mean Mom???
We've been busy at our house the last couple of days. I finally decided to decorate for Valentine's. (I can't believe it's Monday.) -Better to decorate now then never, right? We bought some window stickers. I let Bree be in charge of putting them up.
I made a few different sets of blocks.
I made this wood frame out of wood flooring. The "Love" picture was from a gift bag.
Aaron and I were married June 25, 1999. Since that time we've been blessed with six kids, (Andrew, Brody, Abby, Breelyn, Alyssa, and Bryson). Aaron is a chiropractor. He opened his own office in Lehi (Dry Creek Chiropractic). Kelly is a FT mom and a PT nurse. She works at Project Reality in Provo.
