Busy Weekend!
This past weekend was very busy. In one of my earlier posts I mentioned that my brother came home from his mission late Friday night. Well, Saturday afternoon after work, all of my family got together for lunch at Mimi's Cafe. The food there was delicious. We all had a good visit. On Sunday Michael spoke in church. My kids were a little wiggly, so I didn't get to hear all of his talk. What I did hear I really enjoyed. Following church, my parents had a little brunch at their home. It was so nice to see all of our family and friends. -And the food was amazing.

Abby's Family Portrait
Last Tuesday we had family pictures done.
We haven't got our pictures back yet,
but I will definitely post some when they become available.
While we wait...
My daughter Abby drew a picture of our family and some of her friends.
The person on the bottom left is me.
Aaron is in the upper right corner.
Analyze it how you will. :)
I was pretty impressed with her artistic skills, so I thought I would share.
He's Back!!!
My little brother Michael returned from his mission Friday night.
For those of you who may not know,
Michael served in the Bangkok Thailand mission.
His plane arrived late (around midnight).
Michael had quite the welcoming committee.
My parents, my family, my siblings, and several of Michael's friends were there.
Here's some pics from the night.Welcome welcome!

Some of the highlights were:

A pinata
Racing down a hill on ice blocks
Water balloon volleyball
A treat walk
and of course my favorite...the food!
Here's some pics from the event.

Watch Out Betty Crocker!
Last week Aaron and I learned how to make some delicious bread.
The bread only takes 1 hour from start to finish.
The secret ingredient is Soy Lecithin from Pantry Secrets.
Never heard of it???
I hadn't either, but my sister-in-law told me that it's a no fail deal.
Over the weekend we made 5 batches of loaves and cinnamon rolls,
And guess what.
Every single batch worked.
I couldn't believe it.
Here's the recipe.
Pantry Secrets Bread
Combine all ingredients in bread mixer. Mix for 5 minutes checking the consistency of the dough. Pour in water if needed to make the dough stickier.
Remove dough and cut into 4 section. Each section is equivalent to 1 loaf of bread.
Let dough rise for 25 minutes.
Cook for 25 minutes at 350 degrees F.
yields: 12
- prep time:
- 20 minutes
- total time:
- 1 hour 10 minutes
notes:
Do not use flour that has not been kneeded to prevent sticking. Use instead, Pam cooking spray.

Farm Country
Last Wednesday we went to Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point.
We went with my friend Natalie and her kids.
Natalie has an annual pass; therefore, we were able to get in for half price.
We had such a great time.
Some of the highlights were the wagon ride, feeding the ducks, and of course...
The treats (Popcorn and fruit roll-ups).
We don't get together enough!
Thanks for the fun afternoon Nat.
