Toy Story 3
Aaron didn't have to work Thursday morning
and I think we were all anxious to get out of the house.
Andrew made the suggestion to go see a movie.
(We've never taken all 5 of our kids to a movie at the same time).
I guess Aaron and I were just feeling adventurous.
All of the kids did surprisingly well.
If you haven't seen it yet and you need a good family movie,
I highly recommend it.
Amber ...I mean Brody Alert!
Brody was lost for about 30 minutes on Wednesday.
He opened the garage door when I was helping Alyssa and left the house.
I asked Andrew if he knew where Brody was.
He said he didn't know.
I ran to the garage and started screaming for him.
Brody's spiderman scooter was on the sidewalk two houses down,
But there was no sign of Brody.
For all of you that may not know, Brody is autistic.
Most of the time he won't respond when you call out his name.
I began knocking on all my neighbors doors and checking cars.
(FYI Brody has helped himself in many neighbors homes and cars.
Occasionally he'll bring me home a gallon of milk or a block of cheese from their fridge.) :)
Several of my neighbors began to help me search.
I jumped in the van and drove around the block a couple of times.
-Still no Brody.
I was very upset by this point.
I called 911, and reported that my son was missing.
The woman I spoke with was very calm.
She asked for a description and told me to go back home and research the house.
I did what she said and called Aaron.
The sheriff called me as I hung up with Aaron.
I gave him another description of Brody.
I also gave him a picture from my fridge.
Aaron and several other neighbors arrived and began to search.
I went and knocked on few more doors.
Finally, Aaron called me.
A lady from my ward found Brody at Pony Express Elementary.
Aaron brought him back.
I was so emotional. I couldn't stop crying.
I hugged him and begged him "Please don't run away again!'
Brody grabbed my face and kissed me.
I think he missed me too!
I'm so grateful that he was okay.
I just wanted to thank everyone who helped look for Brody.
I have the best neighbors EVER!

Happy Daddy Day!
Yesterday we had a wonderful Father's Day.
Around noon, Aaron had the idea to go for a ride in American Fork canyon.
We drove up to Tibble Fork, and then we drove the loop.
It was absolutely beautiful.
When we were driving past some aspen trees,
Abby made the statement, "This is where the panda bears live."
Aaron and I couldn't help but laugh.
We decided to go for a little walk on the back side of the mountain.
We got out of our car and Bree asked, "Is this the jungle?"
(Sheesh, kids say the cutest things.)
After our ride we went over to my parent's house.
They had an amazing bbq!
It was nice to visit with all of my siblings and their families.
Later at 6:00pm, we went to Kent and LouJean's for amazing bbq #2.
Oh my goodness...I was so stuffed.
Here are some pictures from our day.

Andrew's Shiner
Friday, June 18, 2010
Well it's official,
June 27th is my last day at the Developmental Center.
I got a call from the Director of Nurses yesterday,
I got a call from the Director of Nurses yesterday,
asking me what my decision was.
Whether I was going to go full time or quit.
(All of the part time positions have to be eliminated by July 1st).
I decided to resign.
I'm really bummed about losing my job.
I work with a lot of amazing people.
Plus, we will miss the extra income and health care benefits.
I just feel that I'm not at a point where I can go full time.
I have another part time job that I absolutely love
and I really think that my family needs me.
Everything happens for a reason right?

Poor Lyle
My dad was in an accident last Tuesday.
He was stopped at the light off of the Lehi Main Street exit, when someone ran into him.
From what I understand, the person that hit him didn't put on his brakes.
Therefore, my dad's car hit into the car in front of him and that car hit into another car.
Their suzuki forenza was totaled.
We don't know for certain,
but we think the kid was either driving under the influence or texting.
The police didn't go into detail.
My dad was taken to AF hospital in an ambulance and seen by one of their doctors.
He was released a short while later, but he's been in a lot of pain.
I went to visit my parents last night.
My dad showed me some of his bruises.

Brody's 2nd Tooth!
Fun In the Sun ...And In The Rain
I'm happy to report that everyone is feeling better at my house.
We were tired of being cooped up,
so Thursday afternoon I took the kids to Highland splash park.

We went with the Jacobson's and had a wonderful time.
The weather was a little strange.
Bright and sunny to begin with ...then wind and rain.
What's up Mother Nature?
Don't you know it's June?
Here are some pics to enjoy.

Brody, Abby, Bree and Alyssa. All greased up and ready to swim!
...So good to see color in Andrew's face again.
Leah, Jared and Andrew loved getting soaked.
Alyssa and I hung out most of the time
Jessie
Andrew and Jared
Brain freeze!
Alyssa started standing on her own a couple of weeks ago.
Now she's really good at it.
She stands up almost immediately if you put her in the grass.
It won't be long before she's walking.
(Sigh ...sniff sniff)
Brody LOVED the water. He was all over the place.
Bree was all over the place too!
Leah
The girl's were pretending to be mermaids in this picture.
Andrew, Jared, and Leah's "Triangle"
MMMM ...A peanut butter and cheese nips sandwich!
Wow! Am I really that old?
