Christmas Day

Alyssa got a cabbage patch doll and lots of new clothes. Her favorite gift of all was the wrapping paper.

Aaron got new shoes and matching transformer pajamas just like Andrew. Way to go Santa!

Brody got a new Leapster and several new games for the Wii and Playstation

Abby got pretend kitchen accessories, my little ponies, and a new cabbage patch doll. Her favorite gift was her new memory game.

Andrew got new basketball shoes, a remote control helicopter, and his favorite thing of all ...a Nintendo DS lite!

Just like Alyssa and Abby, Bree got a cabbage patch doll, some pretend kitchen accessories and some Pet shop toys. Her favorite gift this year was from Grandma and Grandpa Nelson. They gave her a little people house with furniture and figurines.

Well, our kids made it off the naughty list just in time! Santa Claus made it to our house and he left "Presents of plenty." Aaron and I really enjoyed this year. All of our children were so excited. -What a joy it was watching them open their presents. Here are some pictures of them with their favorite gifts.
I don't have any pictures of me; however, Aaron gave me another charm for my "Family" necklace, new boots, and a new purse. He made it very clear that he doesn't want me to use the diaper bag any more. ;) Merry Christmas everyone.

Project Christmas Party

Rhonda and Joel

Me and My Hubby
Rhonda, Joel, Skip (Evan's wife), Evan, Sheree's hubby, and Sheree
Jason, Valerie (Jason's wife), Jeff, Amy, and Craig (Jana's husband)
Jana, Cheryl, and Al

Wednesday night was my work party for Project Reality. We had dinner at The Olive Garden in Provo. It was so much fun and the food was great! I love everyone that I work with. It was fun being able to introduce my husband to everyone.

Yummy Recipe For Christmas!

Candied Almonds

1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of water
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 bag of almonds

Add all of the ingredients together in a deep frying pan and stir with a wooden spoon on medium heat. The liquid will become thick and then it will become crumbly. A coat of sugar will stick to the pan. This is normal. Keep sirring the nuts. Soon the sugar will begin to melt and crystalize. When all of the sugar has come off the pan, take the pan off the heat. Pour the nuts onto wax paper or parchment paper and let them cool. That's it!

Fun In The Snow

Last night Andrew slept over at Grandma and Grandpa Nelson's house. When I got off work, I picked him up and we shoveled snow over at my in-laws house. The snow was perfect for making snowmen, so we decided to make a couple. We also threw a few snowballs in between. I was the "Winner." (No need to Ask Andrew)

Pardon the wet slick hair do. -It was still snowing when we took the picture.

Can you say Kelly is sleepy?

After we finished shoveling the driveway and side walk, Grandma and Grandpa invited us in for some hot chocolate and toast. MMM! Just what we needed.

The Wondrous Gift Of Christmas with Natalie Cole and David McCullough

Last Thursday, Aaron and I went with my parents to a Christmas Concert at the conference center in SLC. The concert was put on by the Mormon Tabernacle choir and orchestra, and this year Natalie Cole and David McCullough attended. The concert was amazing! Thanks again Mom for entering us into the drawing. We had a great time.

After the concert, we ate dinner at The Village Inn

Grandpa Nelson didn't want to have his picture taken.

Nativity

Everyone that knows me knows that I'm a big fan of ksl, craigslist, ebay, etc. My mother and father-in-law have asked me for over a year now to find them a Nativity for their yard. I looked through all of those websites, but couldn't find one that I liked. -So, instead, I decided to make one. I found a picture of a Precious Moments nativity, sketched it on some wood, painted it, sealed it, and cut it out. Here is the finished project. I used some wood from our basement to make the stable. My "How To Finish Your Basement" class came in pretty handy.

Scouts and Fire: A Scary Combination

Tuesday night, Aaron had the 10 year old scouts over to our house. Aaron is without a partner right now, so I got to step in and be his helper. I'm not sure what badge his scouts were working toward, but Aaron taught all of them how to make a campfire. We were sort of limited as to where we could go, so Aaron made a fire on our back patio. Yes, you heard me correctly. It's probably not legal, but we were safe and no cops were called. (Thank goodness). Although we were all freezing, we had a good time.

You Can Rest Your Head On My Shoulder

We went for a ride earlier today.
When we got home, I turned around and this was what I saw.
