31 And Counting!

No! 31 is not how many children Aaron and I plan on having.
(Although 5 is a pretty good start)
I had my 31st birthday yesterday, and what a great birthday it was.
It began Monday night. Aaron took me out to dinner at Red Lobster. I had their shrimp linguini, coconut shrimp, salad, and about 4 of their cheddar bay biscuits . It was soooo yummy.
Yesterday I got to relax and spend the day with my family. Aaron had most of the morning off so my kids and I got to spend part of the day with him. Then later in the evening, my parents came over and we watched the Jazz game.I had a yummy chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream cake. The crust was made out of oreo cookies! -So delish
My sweet husband of almost 11 years (Sheesh, that's a long time to be stuck with me). -Love you Aaron
I sure love my kids...

Exploring Cedar Fort

Last Sunday, my friend Kim invited me and my girls to go for a walk. Kim lives in Cedar Fort, not too far away from the Ranches. So, Monday morning after I got my boys off to school we headed over to her house. We went up near the rodeo grounds. There were quite a few trails. The scenery was beautiful.

I strapped Alyssa into her snugli. Kim and I held Breelyn's hand, and Abby and Jessie held hands.

Abby and Jessie told me it was the funnest day they ever had. -It doesn't take a lot to make little kids happy.

Thanks for the walk Kim. And thank you for the tour of your home. We hope you'll go walking with us again soon.

Swiper No Swiping!

I bought my girls new bedding for their bunkbeds. The bedding has Dora the Explorer and Boots on it. Abby liked it so well, that she asked if she could take a picture of it and post it on our blog. I think she did a pretty good job.

What the hail?

Last week we had crazy weather. It was beautiful in the morning and then it started hailing.

I guess that's Utah weather though right?

LLLAAAZZZYYY!!!

Maybe Brody's pants are too big.
Maybe he was looking to get a tan on that section of his body.
Maybe he was too hot and that little breeze felt good.
Maybe he wanted to show others that he doesn't care what they think!
I still think he's adorable.

Our Spring Break

I would love to begin this post by saying something like "For our spring break we went on an amazing trip to Disneyland, Florida, Hawaii, etc." Our spring break was pretty plain, but it was good. Aaron had to work the whole week, but again, I'm not complaining. -At least Aaron has a job, right? - For that I am very thankful. Since the weather was kind of chilly, we spent a lot of time doing activities at home. My girls have been doing a lot of coloring and playing dress-up. My boys have been playing a lot games on the Wii, DS, etc.

We've watched a lot of late night Redbox movies.

I came across an amazing sale! The Saratoga Springs Walmart marked down a ton of their shoes to just $1. I bought several pairs for myself, my mom, my mother-in-law, and my kids. Wahoo! I love finding deals.

Thursday afternoon, my kids and I went on a play date with my friend Natalie and her kids. We went to Adventure Land Park over by Lone Peak Highschool. It was a beautiful day. We played on the playground, fed the ducks, and went for a nice walk around the lake. -I love that park. I remember my mom taking me and my siblings there when we were little. It's changed a lot since I was a kid. It use to have a really big fort and a maze. I'm glad it's still around so I can share it with my kids.

Brody loved being outside and he only ran away 3 times (That's pretty good for Brody :O)). I've never seen a child so quick!

Andrew loved playing tag with Natalie's boys

Bree was content playing in the sand and going down the slide.

Abby loved playing with friends. (From left to right Ava, Ella, and Abby)

Natalie's baby (Sadie) was so good. We were at the park for probably 1 1/2 - 2 hours. She didn't make a peep the whole time we were there.

Alyssa's New Tricks

Alyssa is changing so much.
This past week she found some of her hidden talents. She can now
pull herself up to the toilet, unroll the toilet paper, and rip it into shreads

OR

If someone leaves the toilet lid up, she LOVES to splash in the water. Unfortunately, one time there was something in the toilet rather than water. I won't say what. My family is trying to remember to keep the lid closed and flush for that matter.
