Early Easter

My parents decided to celebrate Easter early this year. Not only did they prepare an amazing Sunday dinner, but they put together Easter baskets and an easter egg hunt for all of the grand kids. All of the grand kids got either a new beach towel and sandals or a swimsuit. The kids had a blast. I got a plethora of peeps, so it was fun for me too! Thanks for everything Mom and Dad!We had french dip sandwiches ...Yum!

Bree did pretty well considering the fact that she kept loosing her shoes.

Abby's bucket was overflowing.

Brody even got into it.

Poor Andrew. He's the oldest. We made him stop about half way through so all of the kids would get an equal amount.

What a fun day

Where A Kid Can Be A Kid

We decided to go to Chuck E Cheese for Family night. I got an amazing deal on citydeals.com. I paid $10 and got a $20 certificate, plus I had a coupon, so I was anxious to go.The kids were in Heaven. The last time we went to Chuck E Cheese was for Bree's birthday.
I think the kids rode every ride and played every game.

Grandma and Grandpa came along and "Played" with the kids. I don't know what we would've done without them. Thanks for your help Mom and Dad.

After all of the tokens were gone, we cashed in our tickets for prizes.

Family night is awesome!

Welcome Spring!

Monday morning after Aaron had gone to work and the boys had gone to school, my girls and I went for a walk. We took back some redbox movies, I let the girls pick out a treat at the gas station, and then we went to the park. The weather was so nice. It was such a beautiful day. I LOVE Spring!

11 years ago today...

Eleven years ago today ... Aaron proposed to me.
Today, Aaron surprised me with this
What a sweet heart. I love you Aaron!

Baseball Anyone?

I mentioned in the last post that we've had a lot of family come into town. My kids have been in Heaven because they've been able to play with their cousins every day. Monday night we had family home evening at Kent and Loujeans. My sister in law (LouAnn) gave us a wonderul lesson. Her talk was similar to the iron rod. She made a pathway out of paper for the kids to walk on. Each piece of paper represented a stepping stone that we have to take to return to Heavenly Father (ie. getting a body, prayer, reading scriptures, baptism, etc). After discussing steps that we needed to take, she discussed things that could lead us off the path, (ie. lying, swearing, cheating, etc.). None of us are perfect. Because of the atonement, we will be able to return to our Heavenly Father if we do our very best.
After the lesson, Brody found his cousin's baseball, bat, and glove. Aaron went out and played with him. Here are some pics I took of them.

Joe's Farewell?

This past weekend my nephew (Joseph McCracken) had his mission farewell. He's going to Lima, Peru. Several of Aaron's siblings came into town for the meeting. I think everyone except the Price's were able to come. Following sacrament meeting, we had a big pot luck dinner at Kenna and Ed's. Just wanted to wish him lots of luck.

Nature Vs. Nurture?

Friday night my kids were playing with this little duck. When you put a bottle in the ducks mouth, it flaps its wings and quacks. It's a very cute toy. We showed it to Alyssa and Alyssa was amazed. Her eyes got so big. We gave her the bottle and she immediately put it in the ducks mouth. I was amazed that she knew what to do with it. She's only 9 months old. Isn't she cute?

Disney On Ice

A couple of weeks ago, I noticed that Disney On Ice was coming to town. I thought it sounded really fun, so I got onto Smithtix to check out prices. I decided not to buy tickets because I felt like it was too expensive. -Then last week I logged onto Fox 13 to read the news and I noticed they were have a drawing for a family 6 pack. I entered the drawing and didn't think much of it. Then Monday morning I got a phone call. The call was an "Unknown" number so I almost didn't answer the phone. The caller stated that he was Doug Smith with Fox 13 and that I'd won tickets. Yay! I was so excited. -I went and picked up the tickets that day. We went to the show last night. They basically had 4 different shows: Cars, Little Mermaid, Lion King, and Tinkerbell. I loved all of the shows, but my kids started getting really tired and wiggly during the middle of the Tinkerbell show. I'm so grateful that Aaron and I were able to take all of our kids. They felt like we were going to Disneyland. In fact that's what Abby keeps telling everyone, "We went to Disneyland on ice." (LOL). -I love my family.

Snicker Doodles

We made snicker doodles yesterday. We have a dog named Snickers. When I told Abby what we were making, she asked if we could make something else. She thought it sounded gross. :0DThe cookies turned out better than she expected.

In fact everyone kept coming back for more.

I think Brody had the most. He probably had about 5 or 6.

Abby had 2

Alyssa had 1

Bree had 3

Alyssa's First Tooth and Sasha's Blessing

During sacrament meeting, Aaron noticed that Alyssa is getting her first tooth. We knew it was coming because Alyssa has been slobbering a lot and has been wanting to suck on everything, especially wet washcloths. Anyhow, the tooth is on the bottom in the middle. I tried to take a picture, but she just kept sticking her tongue out. :)

Sasha's blessing announcement

My sweet little niece Sasha was blessed today. She looked so pretty in her dress. Her daddy, (My little brother Shane) gave her a beautiful blessing. Afterwords all of the family had dinner at my parent's home.
